First order was a good experience

My first time ordering from Pots For Tots was for their Weaning Starter Pack. The website was easy to navigate, and placing the order was straightforward. I received an email confirmation right away. The package arrived in about 5 business days, well-packed with insulated lining to keep everything frozen solid. We tried the Lentil Dahl and Fish Pie first; both heated up easily in the microwave as per instructions. My little one ate most of it, which is a win. The ingredients list was clear, and it's good to see no weird additives. It's definitely a time-saver, and the quality seems good. I'll probably order again.

Got a good deal on first box

I was looking for some freezer-friendly meals and saw they had a first box discount. I got the Mild Chicken Curry and some Blueberry Mini Muffins. The discount made it really affordable, which was my main goal. The food was okay; my kid ate most of it. Felt like a good value for what I paid.

Convenient, mostly good

I ordered the Toddler Meal Bundles to try them out. Most of the meals, like the Veggie Pasta and Chicken and Veggie Risotto, went down well with my daughter. The portion sizes seemed appropriate for her age. The only minor thing was that the packaging for one of the Fruit Purees seemed a bit squashed when it arrived, but the product inside was fine. Overall, it's a decent service for healthy meals.

Good for busy days

I grabbed a Variety Box for my little one, and it was pretty handy. The Mac & Cheese and Beef Stew were hits. Delivery took about 4 days to get to me, which was fine. Made dinner a lot easier when I was swamped.

Are their vegetarian options actually tasty? My little one is super picky about veggies.

We really liked the Lentil Dahl and the Veggie Pasta. My son isn't usually big on veggies but he eats those up. They blend things pretty well.

My daughter is all about the Sweet Potato Pancakes, and the Vegetable Lasagne is surprisingly good. They don't taste bland like some other veggie meals for kids.

How do these compare to something like Ella's Kitchen? My kid likes those pouches but I'm looking for something more substantial for meals.

D Daisy 4 weeks ago
Pots for Tots are actual meals, like mini versions of home cooking, not just purees in a pouch. Much more filling and varied textures.

They're totally different. Ella's Kitchen is good for on-the-go snacks, but Pots for Tots is proper main meals. My toddler definitely prefers the Pots for Tots Mac & Cheese over any pouch.

Can you use a referral code AND the first-time subscriber discount? Want to maximize my savings if possible.

S Shane M. 1 month ago
Nah, I tried that last month. It's usually one code per order. So pick the best one for your first box.

Pretty sure they only let you use one discount code at checkout. It'll probably tell you if you try to add both.

Do I have to commit to a subscription right away, or can I just buy a one-off box to try them out?

A Alex 1 month ago
You can totally just buy a one-off box or bundle first. That's what we did before committing to a subscription.

Yeah, they have trial boxes and bundles. You don't have to sign up for recurring deliveries unless you want to later.

Thinking of ordering the weaning starter pack, but my little one is closer to 10 months. Is it really suitable for 9 months+ or more for younger babies just starting solids?

J Julia Okafor 1 month ago
My daughter was 9.5 months when we started, and she loved the purees and finger foods in it. It's pretty versatile, good for easing them in.

Yeah, 9 months plus is accurate. It's not just for tiny babies. They have options that work for that age range.
